Peanut Butter Finger

I would have imagined how popular an ordinary- healthy snack could become. Once a little boy's all time favorite treat was chocolate- he'd do anything for a piece of chocolate but this has been replaced.
On a warm Wednesday afternoon weeks ago I introduced the kids to a snack I always loved when I was a kid (and still have a weakness for)- peanut butter apples. It's rather simple but delicious! You can either core and cut the apple up and then spread PB on each slice, cut the apple up and put a blob of PB on the side of the plate, or my preference- take a spoon full of peanut butter and take a bite of apple and a bite of PB.
The kids have really taken to this, and daily when asked what they'd like for snack the answer is always, "Peanut butter apple". They get their snack with the apples cut up and the PB in a blob. :)
O has even created his own version of this tasty little snack, what he calls the, "Peanut butter finger". He dips his apples in the peanut butter as he eats them but likes to eat the apples plain. Then when he's finished he sticks his finger in the blob and eats his, "peanut butter finger'! A would call this, "Tasty". :)

Give it a try- have some peanut butter and apples for snack but be forewarned they can become addictive!!
